KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) _ Oklahoma football coach Bob Stoops thinks it might be a good idea to scrap the North-South divisional setup in the Big 12 Conference.
There's no way everybody could play everybody else every year, but adding one conference game and doing away with the conference championship is an old debate.
Big 12 South teams this year are 13-3 versus their counterparts in the North.
Three South teams are ranked: # 4 Texas, # 18 Oklahoma and # 21 Texas A&M.
After Nebraska and Missouri lost last weekend, both to South teams, nobody is ranked in the North.
Only three North teams have winning records. In the South, every team but one has more wins than losses.
Baylor's Guy Morriss disagrees with Stoops -- and likes the fact that you rotate from North and South.
Morriss has no patience with people who argue that schedules are unfair in some years because not everybody in the North has to play all the tough South teams.
