NORMAN, Okla. (AP) _ The University of Oklahoma climbed one spot to Number 18 in the Associated Press college football poll released.
The Sooners improved to 6-and-2 on the season after Saturday's 26-to-10 win over 23rd-ranked Missouri on Saturday. The loss by the Tigers knocked them out of the top 25.
The Sooners also climbed one spot to Number 18 in the USA Today college football coaches' poll
Meanwhile, the University of Tulsa was the top vote-getter among other teams receiving votes in the AP poll with 38 votes. The Golden Hurricane received 42 votes in the USA Today coaches' poll. TU came from behind to beat UTEP 30-to-20 on Friday night to improve to 7-and-1 on the season.
Also, Oklahoma State received two votes in the AP poll after the Cowboys' 41-to-29 upset of Number 20 Nebraska on Saturday.
