A Vietnam-era attack bomber was dedicated at the "Wall of Honor Museum" in Bartlesville Saturday.
The A4C Navy Skyhawk once fought enemy aircraft in the sky, now it rests on a platform in honor of US service members.
Organizers say it took a lot of hard work to get the aircraft back to its original glory. Former Marine Bill Dickerson: “Cessna Aircraft in Independence, Kansas painted and refurbished the aircraft for us and their paint people donated their off time to do it. So it's kinda a labor of love for us."
The dedication marks the third phase of Bartlesville’s Wall of Honor. The city plans to add a model of the USS Oklahoma to the display next year.
Organizers hope the museum will eventually become a tourist attraction for the city.
