TULSA, Okla. (AP) University of Tulsa athletic director Bubba Cunningham says he's not going to speculate about whether football coach Steve Kragthorpe is a candidate for other jobs.

The 4th year coach has been mentioned as a possible replacement for fired John Bunting at North Carolina, which is affiliated with a league that's involved with the Bowl Championship Series.

Kragthorpe has led TU to two bowl games in the past three seasons, and last season, the Golden Hurricane won the CUSA title and the Liberty Bowl. Tulsa is 6-1 this season and is on the cusp of the Associated Press' top 25 poll.

Cunningham expressed irritation with Kragthorpe's name being mentioned in a coaching search during the middle of the season.

As for Kragthorpe, he's said he's happy at TU. He said he hasn't had any contact with North Carolina.

Kragthorpe recently signed a 6 year deal that would keep him at Tulsa through the 2011 season.
