A round of campaign ads in the Attorney General's race has angered Oklahoma poultry farmers.
The ads, from Drew Edmondson's [pictured] campaign, take credit for suing the poultry industry over pollution in Oklahoma rivers. The poultry farmers dispute the claims in the ad and don't think its right for the AG to use the lawsuit to help his campaign.
Mark Simmons with Simmons Food: "We cannot stand on the sidelines while Mr. Edmondson makes false statements about the hard working people of the poultry industry."
Attorney General Drew Edmondson: "The poultry industry is still denying responsibility for pollution of the watershed. This case is going to trial."
Both sides accuse the other of being unwilling to negotiate. The Attorney General says the case could go to trial in early 2008.
