MUSKOGEE, Okla. (AP) _ A fire at a Muskogee nursing home prompts the evacuation of about 40 residents.

York Manor Nursing Center Administrator Kathy Black says no injuries were reported after the fire broke out Saturday night in the facility's kitchen. Black says the nursing home's sprinkler system was activated and quickly extinguished the fire.

Residents were wheeled outside in wheelchairs and beds, wrapped in blankets, while firefighters climbed on the roof to try and determine the cause.

Employees began returning residents to the building about 30 minutes after they were evacuated. Black says fire investigators believe an electrical problem may have started the blaze.
