STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) _ Oklahoma State University women's head basketball coach Kurt Budke says the Cowgirls are stronger, quicker and bigger this season and he expects better things from them.
O-S-U finished last season 6-22 and became the second team in Big 12 history to go winless in conference play as they finished 0-16.
Budke isn't used to that kind of season after establishing himself as one of the nation's top junior college coaches at Trinity Valley Junior College in Texas. The success continued at Louisiana Tech before Budke came to OSU.
Budke says he doesn't know how many games the Cowgirls will win this year but says the talent is better.
Budke says the rebuilding problem at for OSU is the team plays in the best women's basketball division in the country but he's confident better days are ahead.
