NORMAN, Okla. (AP) First, Oklahoma quarterback Rhett Bomar gets kicked off the squad.

Then comes some horrible officiating, including a series of comedic errors at Oregon that even prompted an apology from the head of the Pac-10 Conference.

Now, star running back and Heisman Trophy candidate Adrian Peterson's gone down, possibly for the season.

And, the Sooners leading tackler, Rufus Alexander, was arrested after a confrontation with police.

Has OU head coach Bob Stoops ever had so many things go wrong in one season?

Stoops says he probably hasn't. But he adds that it's part of the game. He says Sooner players have had good attitudes and OU's coaches have good attitudes, too.

Stoops says they team will work through the adversity.
