Tulsa Police are searching for an armed robbery suspect.
Police say a man hid inside a Family Dollar at 4th and Utica Saturday night. When the employees closed for the night, the man appeared with a gun and demanded money.
Tulsa Police say the suspect began beating a store employee when the time-delayed safe took several minutes to open. Tulsa Police Corporal Darren Bristow: "the injury was sustained to the male employee. He was pistol whipped in the head a couple of times and was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries."
The other employee inside the store was unharmed. The robber got way.
