OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ Federal officials in Oklahoma City say 21 gang members and their associates face a total of 85 conspiracy, gun and drug-related charges in a federal indictment.
US Attorney John -C- Richter says the defendants are members or associates of the Walnut Gangster Crips. They're accused of conspiring with four unindicted coconspirators to possess with intent to distribute more than 30 kilograms of cocaine, cocaine powder and over a thousand tablets of ecstasy.
The indictment alleges that members of the street gang associated themselves with others who acquired the cocaine powder in Los Angeles to manufacture the crack for redistribution in the Oklahoma City area.
The indictment seeks forfeiture of firearms, ammunition, cash and some property.
