Tulsa Police will see more green in their pay checks.
Tulsa Police officers have overwhelmingly approved a new contract. The deal includes two 1-year contracts. The first year calls for an 8 percent salary increase for all officers. Next year, officers will get a 2 percent increase for the top pay scales in the department.
Merit pay increases are also protected under the new deal.
Tulsa Mayor Kathy Taylor: "I want to say thank you to you and your team. Because without the open spirit of cooperation and dialogue, we wouldn't have this issue behind us."
The new contract goes into effect January 1st.
