BRISTOW, Okla. (AP) -- A Creek County judge is putting a stop to a Depew man's plan to hold a motorcycle rally on his property just west of Depew.
Nearby residents complained to county commissioners after Charles Elliott held a motorcycle rally in June. The residents argued Elliott's property was zoned for agricultural purposes and not for commercial or campground use.
Elliott has upgraded the property by constructing vendor areas, a ticket booth, RV hookups and camping facilities. Elliot twice filed a rezoning application for his property, but his first request was denied and the second was withdrawn before it could be considered.
