18-year-old Melinda Burnett from Muskogee pled guilty to charges of maiming her 4 month-old son.

She was given a 7-year sentence, but won't be behind bars. She will be supervised by the Office of Juvenile Affairs. The plea deal requires her to testify against the baby's father, Harley Scott.

The baby had a broken arm, elbow, rib, two broken wrists and a bruised skull and legs. The baby now lives with a relative, and has supervised visits with the father and the mother will also be allowed visitation.
