ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) _ Nick Graham blocked an extra-point attempt by Navy's Matt Harmon on the final play to give Tulsa a 24-to-23 victory in the first-ever overtime game for the Midshipmen.

After the teams finished regulation tied at 17 Saturday, Tulsa got the ball first in overtime. Paul Smith threw a six-yard touchdown pass to Donnie Johnson and Jarod Tracy's extra point made it 24-17.

Navy needed just one play to score. Brian Hampton completed a 25-yard pass to OJ Washington, who barely stayed inbounds in the back of the end zone. But Graham broke through the Navy line to block Harmon's kick.

North Texas State is now the only Division 1A school never to play an overtime game.

The teams were tied at 7 at halftime, and it was 14-all entering the fourth quarter. Harmon's career-best 39-yard field goal put Navy ahead 17-14 with 9:57 remaining, but Tracy matched it with a 29-yard kick with 6:13 left.

The Golden Hurricane amassed 444 yards of total offense, while Navy had 356 yards.
