PETERSBURG, Texas (AP) -- The 23-year-old West Texas schoolteacher who authorities believed had been kidnapped from her South Plains home has been found in Oklahoma.
Authorities say Hollie Christine Wright was found physically unharmed Tuesday night in Stroud, Oklahoma. Texas Rangers aren't saying whether she went there voluntarily or against her will.
Oklahoma officials aren't elaborating on how the woman was found. But authorities say Wright's car, which was missing from her home, wasn't found with her.
Authorities say they found signs of a struggle in her Petersburg home after the new teacher failed to show up for classes Monday.
Wright teaches English and is the assistant girls basketball coach at Petersburg High School. Her family told school district officials they hadn't heard from her since Sunday.
Stroud is about 335 miles from Lubbock, which is 40 miles southwest of Wright's tiny South Plains hometown.
