SPIRO, Okla. (AP) -- State and federal agents have searched the home of LeFlore County Commissioner Carroll Rogers in Spiro but are saying little about the reasons and Rogers says he can't comment.

Gene Wheat with the state fire marshal's office in Poteau confirms his office conducted the search with the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation and the FBI as part of a fraud investigation.

Assistant state Fire Marshall Jerry Pruner says his office would investigate a fire and that the search warrant came from the US Attorney's Office in Muskogee. A spokeswoman for the federal prosecutor says she has no information to release.

FBI spokesman Gary Johnson says he's not aware of a pending investigation in LeFlore County but says the FBI doesn't comment on search warrants.
