Broken Arrow Police are investigating their first homicide of the year.

Police tell the News on 6, they received a 911 call just before 7 AM Tuesday from a man who claimed he'd just shot and killed his wife.

Police got to the home in the 800 block of West Hartford and found a 42-year-old Tonya Shaleen dead from a gunshot wound. Police took her husband, Joel Shaleen, into custody.

Officers say there had been at least one prior domestic call to this house over the summer.
