A vintage aircraft landed with the wheels up Saturday in Tulsa.
The accident closed down the main runway at Tulsa International Airport. A News on 6 skycam network from Fine Airport Parking captured this picture of the plane on the runway. It’s a T-6 Trainer that was flown in World War II. The pilot and a passenger on board were not hurt.
The Air National Guard and the Tulsa Fire Department used forklifts to lift the plane and released the landing gear. They were able to roll the plane off the runway.
There were no delays in commercial servce because of the accident.
