Oklahoma soldiers are headed to Iraq.
180 members of the 245th Engineering Company out of Bristow gathered with family and friends in Muskogee at the Civic Center Thursday afternoon to say goodbye.
The Army National Guard troops will spend one year providing security for the new Iraqi government.
Many family members were on hand for the ceremony and said they were proud, but sad.
The soldiers will spend three months training at Fort Dix in New Jersey before heading to Iraq. They are expected to spend about a year in Iraq.
