OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ Dont-bother-knocking blew by favorite Major Rhythm in the stretch to win the 150-thousand-dollar Edward J. DeBartolo Memorial Breeders' Cup Handicap at Remington Park.

It's the track's most lucrative turf race of the year.

Dont-bother-knocking is an 8-year-old gelding ridden by Quincy Hamilton and trained by Bernell Rhone. He won yesterday for the 15th time in 46 lifetime starts and for the third time in as many starts at Remington Park.

The Kentucky-bred son of Farma Way is owned by Frank Jedlicki of Hamel, Minnesota. Dont-bother-knocking also won the DeBartolo last year as well as the Remington Green in October and was crowned the track's champion turf performer.

Dont-bother-knocking, the third choice at 4-to-1 odds, covered the 1-and-one-eighth miles on good turf in 1 minute, 48-point-1-4 seconds.

He finished 1-and-one-half lengths ahead of Major Rhythm. Longshot Mad Adam finished third, another three-quarters-of-a-length behind.
