McALESTER, Okla. (AP) -- The McAlester city council has offered the city manager's job to an applicant from Ohio but it's not a done deal just yet.

The applicant contacted one of the council members with a list of expectations. The council will meet Tuesday to discuss that list, which Mayor Don Lewis says includes different benefits than what the city is used to offering.

There are six finalists vying for the job to replace Susan Monroe, who resigned in April.
