The City of Broken Arrow is in the running for a very prestigious award.

The League of Cities announced Broken Arrow was named a finalist for the 2006 awards for Municipal Excellence.

Cities are judged in several areas, including successful public-private partnership ventures and productive citizen and community collaborations.

The winner will be announced in December.
