A Washington County judge has ordered a mental health evaluation for a Bartlesville woman, who used a paintball gun to discipline a child.
25-year-old Shalana Pierce was charged with shooting paintballs at her 12-year-old stepdaughter's stomach, arms and legs. Pierce was reportedly punishing her for how she did her chores.
Pierce pleaded guilty to child abuse and waived her right to a trial. Besides the evaluation, she received a five year suspended sentence and $600 in fines.
