FORT PAYNE, Ala. (AP) -- A preacher from Tulsa has been arrested in Fort Payne, Alabama, because of the noise coming from his tent revival.
Dwayne Blue was arrested Sunday night for violating the city's noise ordinance and says he's upset. Blue says the revival wasn't radical and those there were only praying.
But Police Chief David Walker says guests at a Holiday Inn Express behind the tent called police to complain about the noise. He says preachers were apparently using microphones and amplifiers.
Walker says one motel guest went to the revival to ask that the noise be turned down and that police went to the tent three times to ask that the volume be reduced.
