A series of armed robberies of individuals keep Tulsa Police busy overnight.
Around 12:30 AM Wednesday, a man had just arrived at the Coppermill Apartments at 5300 East 71st Street, when two men approached and asked for a cigarette. When he said he didn't have any, a man put a bullet in a pistol and put the victim on the ground.
They couldn't find any money on him, so they took his cell phone. The Tulsa Police helicopter searched the area, but no one was found. The victim was not hurt.
About an hour later, people inside an apartment at 55th and Lewis were also robbed. The sliding glass door was open because of the cooler weather, and two men with handguns came through.
They took money and cell phones and ran off.
