There is a warning for restaurants across Oklahoma.

Hand washing posters are required to hang in restaurants, but restaurants are not required to pay big bucks for them.

A group called the Oklahoma Food Service Compliance Center has sent letters telling food licensees they must have approved hand washing posters. Those who don't could be fined. The group sells posters, but businesses can get them from the state health department for free.

Marilyn Felts with Hank's Hamburgers: "Paying that much for posters which the health department will give you free to put up at your hand washing station. Craig: It doesn't make much business sense does it? No there are too many things companies have to pay for that are legit.”

The Oklahoma Restaurant Association urges its members to use caution if contacted by the business.

The association also says it has alerted the Attorney General's consumer fraud division.
