A group of Tulsa nurses are back in the state after spending a week in Louisiana helping care for victims of Hurricane Katrina.

The nurses are from Hillcrest Medical Center. They worked 12 hours shifts in Baton Rouge and say most of the people they cared for were dealing with the circumstances well. Hillcrest nurse Paul Harris: "They were in quite good spirits; they lost everything, the most appreciative people I’ve ever met."

A second team of nurses and other medical staff return to Tulsa Friday.
