OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- A group seeking to increase the state's fuel taxes and use the proceeds for Oklahoma roads and bridges has raised more than $2-million in their campaign.

The latest reported filed with the Oklahoma Ethics Commission shows that Oklahomans for Safe Bridges and Roads raised $732,950 dollars from August first through August 29th.

A campaign spokeswoman says since the group it launched its initiative petition drive last September, it's raised $2.1-million.

The group has spent more than $1.9-million promoting State Question 723.

Oklahomans will go to the polls on Tuesday to decide whether to raise Oklahoma's fuel taxes.

State Question 723 would increase the state's 17-cent per gallon gasoline tax and 14-cent per gallon diesel tax to 22 cents each.

Oklahoma Taxpayers United is also fighting the fuel tax increase, raising $142,247 so far and has spent $123,163 in its campaign.
