BROKEN ARROW, Okla. (AP) _ Broken Arrow officials are asking city workers to limit driving and other job-related use of gasoline because of supply shortages brought on by Hurricane Katrina.
City Manager Jim Twombly reported the current supply of unleaded gasoline in city tanks is about 20-thousand gallons. Under normal usage, that would last less than a week.
He said the supply of diesel fuel isn't a problem.
Twombly ordered city employees to limit travel and curtail mowing that can't be done with diesel fuel.
He also asked the fire department and other departments with diesel vehicles to use those whenever possible.
