PAWHUSKA, Okla. (AP) _ The chief of the Osage Nation in Oklahoma is running for president of the National Congress of American Indians.

Chief Jim Gray is running for the office. The National Congress is a group that advocates for Indian rights.

The organization will meet from October 30th through November 4th in Tulsa and more than 5,000 Indians from more than 300 tribes are expected to attend.
