McALESTER, Okla. (AP) -- Prison guards at the Jackie Brannon Correctional Center and the Oklahoma State Penitentiary in McAlester want to meet with the state Board of Corrections.
The board meets Friday afternoon at the correctional center.
Lieutenant Robert Womack says the guards want to discuss issues ranging from overtime pay to staff shortages. He says a chief complaint is the loss of overtime pay for staff briefings and training for the Emergency Response team if a guard uses any sick leave or vacation time.
