FORT COBB, Okla. (AP) -- Charges have been filed against a Caddo County man in connection with the deaths of his three children in a house fire.
Authorities say 47-year-old Dean Robert Payne of Fort Cobb was charged with three counts of first degree murder and one count of arson.
The bodies of Payne's three children, 5-year-old Tye, 7-year-old Keelie and 9-year-old Cirea, were discoverd in the family's burned-out house on Friday.
Police Chief Charles Addington of the Bureau of Indian Affairs says Payne's wife, Traci, was staying at a friend's house when the fired occurred.
Payne was served with a protective order on Thursday that required him to stay away from his wife. She alleged that he beat her earlier this month.
