LAWTON, Okla. (AP) _ A Lawton police officer is on leave with pay after allegedly threatening to kill a dentist.

Officer James Wilkinson is accused of threatening dentist Todd Bridges and Bridges has been given an emergency protective order against the officer.

Bridges says Wilkinson threatened to kill him after he fired the officer's wife.

Police Chief Ronnie Smith says he's ordered an investigation, but can't comment further.
