HULBERT, Okla. (AP) -- A former police officer has accused a police lieutenant of fixing traffic tickets in exchange for money or items of value.
District Attorney Richard Gray said he plans to ask the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation to look into the allegations.
Steve Bracket resigned from the Hulbert Police Department on August 8 after giving a letter to town trustees complaining that police Lt. Casey Rowe had been fixing tickets. He also provided documentation in the form of traffic tickets and driver's license traffic records that did not reflect these tickets.
Rowe did not immediately return telephone calls Thursday for comment.
