State transportation officials say they think the heat caused concrete to fall off the I-244 bridge over I-44 in Tulsa this week.

A woman told the Oklahoma Highway Patrol a piece of the bridge, about the size of a dinner plate, landed on the interstate around five o'clock Wednesday.

Dust-like debris hit her car, but the driver tells the News on 6 her vehicle was not damaged. ODOT closed one lane under the bridge and has made repairs.

We're told there is no damage to the upper surface or the deck of the bridge.
