MANGUM, Okla. (AP) -- Thursday's scheduled arraignment for a convicted killer who escaped from an Oklahoma prison with the wife of the prison's assistant warden is being postponed.
Randolph Franklin Dial is now scheduled to appear in Greer County District Court in Mangum on September 1st for arraignment on an escape charge. No reason was given for the postponement.
Dial disappeared from the Oklahoma State Reformatory in Granite in August 1994 with Bobbi Parker, the wife of assistant warden Randy Parker. The two were found in April living near a chicken farm in Campti, Texas.
Dial has said he kidnapped Parker and forced her to stay with him by threatening her family.
