OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- The state has issued a Red Flag Fire Alert for ten southeastern Oklahoma counties where officials say the fire danger is very high.
The division of Forestry Services says conditions are very dry and extreme caution should be used with all outdoor burning. No outdoor burning should be conducted when wind speeds are above 20 miles per hour.
The counties are Atoka, Choctaw, Haskell, Latimer, LeFlore, McCurtain, Pittsburg, Pushmataha, Sequoyah and the southeastern part of Muskogee County.
