WASHINGTON, Okla. (AP) -- McClain County prosecutors say the don't plan to file charges against the owner of several dogs that attacked a 6-year-old Washington, Oklahoma, girl this weekend.

Assistant District Attorney Ronald Boone says there aren't any county or state leash laws.

Boone was waiting Tuesday on police reports about the Sunday attack on Jessica Humphries.

The girl's stepfather says she received between 25 and 50 lacerations either from being bitten or clawed during the attack about three blocks from her home.

The attack occurred as she rode her bicycle outside the home of John Stanard, the dogs' owner.

Stanard was fined $95 by the town for letting his dogs run loose. Stanard also has paid $500 to have the dogs quarantined for 10 days to determine if they have rabies.
