An accident shut down a portion of the Creek Turnpike overnight.

The accident happened around 3:30 AM in the westbound lanes of the Creek Turnpike at the Turner Turnpike.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says the driver of a truck tried to take a corner too fast at the Turner Turnpike exit and that caused the load to shift and it sent him on his side.

The driver was not seriously hurt. Crews worked to clear the scene.
