An 8 year old boy was honored for his courage and bravery Wednesday.
Dakota Harrington was recognized by the Broken Arrow Police Department for his role in saving a little girl who almost drowned. Harrington was swimming at an area pool when he noticed a little girl at the bottom, not moving. He went underwater and pulled 6-year-old Kali Allen to the surface, then notified the lifeguards.
"I was thinking the parents would be sad if I didn't try to save her life if I stood there and watched."
When asked if he was excited about getting the award, Cody said he wasn't worried about the award, he was happy the little girl was alive.
