An Osage County community is in shock as dozens of people watched a prominent Hominy businessman gun down a waitress.
It happened in Hominy, in front of a lunch crowd. 26-year old Rebecca Clements was working in front of about 60 people in a diner. Witnesses say the suspect walked in and shot Clements several times, at least once in the head.
Sherri Hinton, who witnessed the shooting, "I heard the shot go off and I didn't know what it was, then I turned around and I saw her hit the counter and hit the floor and blood was gushing out of her ear."
Sherri Hinton and other screaming customers ran out of the diner.
The gunman is 63-year-old Roy Westbrook[pictured]. He was recently named Hominy’s ‘2004 Citizen of the Year." Westbrook was arrested sitting in his car outside with the gun.
Witnesses say the victims' sister owed Westbrook rent money, and Rebecca Clements had argued on her behalf.
Friends describe Clements as a happy person. She recently found out she was pregnant.
