Tulsa's bomb squad helped with an explosives scare in Owasso Saturday.

Someone discovered what was believed to be a live mortar shell at a garage sale. The man told Owasso Police he found the round in New Mexico and brought it home.
An Owasso firefighter at the sale saw the round and realized what it was.

Tulsa's bomb squad took the moRtar shell to a field behind Hodson Elementary School.

The News on 6 was the only station there when they detonated it.
