OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- Oklahoma Gas and Electric is being ordered to refund $10-million to its customers.
The state Corporation Commission says it's ordering the refund because OG&E didn't competitively bid a contract it gave to a sister company in 2003.
OG&E awarded a contract to Enogex to transport and store natural gas for OG&E power plants and the commission says OG&E paid nearly $46.8-million a year for the contract.
The commission says OG&E likely would have paid just under $42-million if the contract was put out for bids.
Officials say the refund will likely be a credit to the account of the utility company's 735,000 customers but no timetable has been set.
