SAYRE, Okla. (AP) -- Former Sayre City Manager Jack McKennon faces a misdemeanor charge of malicious intimidation or harassment.
Beckham County District Attorney Dennis Smith filed the charge after McKennon was investigated for allegedly using his pickup truck to chase a boy from the Sayre city swimming pool in June. McKennon is also accused of shouting racial slurs at the boy.
McKennon was suspended while the incident was under investigation and has since resigned.
Smith says McKennon faces up to a year in jail and a $1,000 fine if convicted.
