Voters in two Tulsa city council districts are deciding the fate of their councilors today.
Chris Medlock in district 2 and Jim Mautino in district 6 are targets of a recall election that could end their terms on the council eight months early.
The Coalition for Responsible Government forced the recall election by getting hundreds of signatures from voters in Medlock and Mautino's districts. They claim the councilors are "anti-growth" and disruptive to city business.
The polls are open until 7 PM, just in those two council districts.
If the councilors are recalled, the city council will appoint temporary councilors to fill out the remainder of their term.
