Tulsa Vision 2025 neighborhood projects announced

Nine Tulsa neighborhood groups learned Wednesday morning they had selected as part of the cityâ€™s Vision 2025 Neighborhood Enhancement projects.

City officials say 141 proposals were submitted and after several months of consideration, 9 neighborhoods were awarded funding in phase 1 of the program. [see the list below]

In all, the city of Tulsa eventually plans to spend $2-million on the Vision 2025 Neighborhood Fund. The money will pay for things like clear and visible signage in residential areas, to neighborhood entranceways or gateways.

Phase 2 of the process is expected to start later this summer.
