OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) A federal judge has sentenced a man to more than eight years in prison for robbing two Oklahoma City banks earlier this year.

Taylor Garrison Junior was sentenced Tuesday to 105 months in prison and ordered to pay $4,152.00 in restitution. The 53-year-old had pleaded guilty April 6th to two counts of bank robbery.

According to an affidavit, Garrison told authorities he and another man robbed the banks January 28th because he needed 600 dollars bail money for an outstanding drug charge.

Authorities say the other man, Dewayne Emery Christiansen, was on probation for robbing a bank in Oregon at the time the two men robbed Sooner State Bank and Banc-First.

Christiansen pleaded guilty to bank robbery two days after Garrison and is awaiting sentencing.
