Frankoma Pottery in Sapulpa could reopen as early as Saturday after being sold to a Las Vegas ceramics maker.

Det Merryman says he is buying the long-time pottery making business and expects the sale to close on Friday. Merryman says he'll continue producing the Frankoma Pottery that's becoming a collector's item and will use the plant to make a line of ceramic dogs that had been made in China.

He plans to hire 25 employees by the end of the month and says the plant could have 50 workers by the end of the year.
