OKEMAH, Okla. (AP) -- Okfuskee County authorities are searching for two men who escaped from the county jail early Tuesday morning.

Sheriff Jay Fox says Nathan Tilley and Jason Stapp[pictured] apparently used a hacksaw blade to cut through the bars of their cell window on the fifth floor of the jail, then kicked out an air conditioning unit. They then used an extension cord to lower themselves to the third floor where they broke the window of a judge's office and went out of the office, down a flight of stairs and out of the building.

Authorities say they're not sure how the two got the saw blade.

Both Tilley and Stapp are Native Americans and were jailed on burglary and malicious injury to property charges. Tilley is about 5-feet-11, 150-pounds with brown hair and eyes. Stapp is about 5-10, 175-pounds with brown hair and hazel eyes.
