UNDATED (AP) -- A Florida man was killed when his car veered out of control and flipped end-over-end on Interstate 40 in Okmulgee County.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says 48-year-old Darrell Glen Roland of Orange Park, Florida, was killed in Sunday's 4 PM crash.

Troopers say Roland's pickup truck was westbound on I-40 when he ran off the roadway into the median and struck a turn-around embankment. The pickup went airborne for 92 feet ands flipped end-over-end, coming to rest on its top.

The patrol says Roland was ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene from a broken neck and other injuries.

Troopers say he was not wearing a seat belt.
